Featuring 250 guest rooms and suites, and 18,000 square feet of flexible function space, we can accommodate everything from board meetings to conventions.The Campbell House is the perfect location for business travel, groups, meetings and social events.

We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Maintenance Engineer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
  • Report to work on time in appropriate attire. Uniform will be issued, must be cleaned and pressed.
  • Maintain positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a cordial, courteous and professional manner with guests, co-workers and supervisors.
  • Must maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines.
  • Answer guest service calls timely and efficiently.
  • Repair guest room locks and hardware.
  • Perform minor painting, wallpaper hanging and furniture touch up.
  • Fully understand and complete all repairs from the Preventative Maintenance Program and keep up-to-date records as required.
  • Fully understand the building plumbing system, including shut off valves, and make minor repairs, i.e. unplug drains.
  • Fully understand the location and general maintenance of the hotel telephone system.
  • Performs minor repair work such as rewiring, re-lamping changing ballasts, install switches and outlets using testing equipment.
  • Performs repairs on televisions, and repairs on the hotel's on-command television system. Changes and replaces televisions as needed.
  • Fully understand the hotel's heating and cooling system, in order to locate problems, make repairs and regulate temperatures.
  • Must have a working knowledge of basic hand tools and other equipment including: brushes, rollers, scrapers, sandpaper, spray guns, lift, etc.
  • A seasoned Maintenance Engineer may be asked to train new employees.
  • Fully understand the building life safety system and how to operate it.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Employees must meet these minimum requirements:

  • Job experience-1 year
  • Communication skills-Speak, read and write English
  • Business mechanical skills-none
  • License/certification-none
  • Physical activities and requirements-standing and walking 100% of the time, frequent lifting and bending, must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Work conditions-hot, cold, dirty at times, hazardous materials may be present, work alone or with others

Responsibilities-frequent care of equipment, frequent safety of others, frequent guest contact, occasional confidential data, frequent decision making, and occasional supervisory capacity

Sensory requirements-full sight, full hearing, reading and speaking English
