AHA ACLS Instructor - Full-time / Part-time

We're a small company looking to acquire an additional instructor for ACLS and BLS instruction. Advanced classes are taught during the morning; basic classes are taught in the afternoon.

Instructor will be required to teach American Heart Association ACLS and/or BLS Classes depending on number of clients scheduled.. Position is full-time, requiring occasional travel in the NY area for On-site training. Job REQUIRES AHA ACLS and BLS Instructor certification. If applicants do not have this credential, we can offer the training via contract. More information is available on request. Any medical background training is preferred. Basic computer skills are required. Applicants must possess strong public speaking skills. Basic Clerical work is required for submission of class rosters, email correspondence, and customer service.

Job Requirements

• Must Be 18 years or older
• Must be able to stand 50-75% of scheduled shift
• Must be able to lift 25-50lbs unassisted.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be flexible to work between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm.
• Stable work history
• Clean background and driving record
• Required to type 25 WPM or more
• Cannot request time off during first 90 days
• Comfortable speaking via phone with customers; with clear diction and proper grammar.
• Able to use basic math skills, proficiently
• Computer literacy to include browser applications, and data managment.
• Customer Service Experience to include dispute resolution.
• High School Diploma, some college preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and integrity
• Professional phone and e-mail etiquette
• Positive attitude
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to multitask.
• Sales experience.
• Public Speaking is REQUIRED.
• Bilingual Preferred, but not required (Spanish)
• BLS Certified preferred but not required
• Must be able to learn and perform CPR.
• Cannot have had previous integrity violations annotated by AHA.

Job Description and Responsibilities

• Input and revision of client information, scheduling, and billing.
• Responsible call receptions and routing to appropriate agent.
• Responsible for basic facility housekeeping.
• File class rosters
• Maintain an organized office space
• Greet students and customers in person and on the phone with positive demeanor
• Manage company e-mails appropriately.
• Adequately describe course information to customers
• Teach BLS courses daily to include CPR, AED and Choking for Adult, Child, and Infant, and/or ACLS Courses as scheduled.
• Occasional on-site training for various locations in the greater Houston area
