Overview
The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will assist in the preparation and review of detailed financial disclosures in compliance with US GAAP. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the completion of all financial statements and SEC filings, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and interfacing with other internal and external parties. In addition, the Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will participate in researching and documenting technical accounting analyses of complex transactions and monitoring and implementing new accounting standards. The position offers multiple opportunities to showcase analytical and technical accounting skills to various members of senior management and provides great networking opportunities across The Wendy's Company. Reporting to the Manager - Financial Reporting.
Specific Responsibilities Include
  • Preparation and review of 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC, including financial statement footnotes and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
  • Assist with technical accounting research related to new business transactions, as well as application of new FASB pronouncements.
  • Review the accuracy of data included in quarterly earnings press releases and other investor materials.
  • Preparation and review of financial information for senior management, lenders and governmental agencies.
  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors.
  • Accounting for all equity transactions, including stock-based compensation.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis on a regular basis, assist in special projects, identify opportunities for process improvements, and train new team members.
This position will be based at The Wendy's Company headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH. The Wendy's Company is the world's second largest quick-service hamburger company. Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree: Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 2-5 years accounting/audit experience with Big 4 firm and/or other relevant financial reporting experience.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
