Description : We are seeking a full time Field/Civil Engineer to provide support to the project managers and others in all aspects of the construction process. The field engineer will work with the project team to construct a quality project that is safe and follows all New York City building codes.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct on-site inspections in various areas, including but not limited to soils, concrete and masonry construction
  • Perform on-site material soils, concrete, asphaltic concrete sampling & testing
  • Prepare timely daily project reports which include detailed descriptions of the performed inspection
  • Maintain constant awareness of emerging construction technology and advances in the field that could help improve the services to our clients
  • Review project specifications and coordinate with the project manager and project engineer regarding the requirements of a given project while adhering to current city standards

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Able to exhibit a great level of confidentiality and discretion
  • Basic knowledge of drawing specifications, construction techniques and equipment
  • Must be familiar with OSHA safety practices

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • ACI I and/or ACI II certification in Concrete and Rebar, and Masonry certification acquired in the city of New York
  • Ability to work 40+ hours
  • Availability on Saturdays as needed
