RoastCo coffee is looking for a production bagger/driver for our new warehouse in Oakland. This is an opportunity for a person who is enthusiastic about coffee and the coffee industry as a whole to learn through experience. The position will afford a committed, intelligent, and determined individual upward mobility and increasing autonomy. Please send resumes with references.
The MOST IMPORTANT quality in an applicant will be attention to detail and the ability to roll with an ever-changing list of priorities based on customer needs. If you are the type of person who is entertained by variety and NOT the kind of person who needs to get really set in a pattern to be comfortable, this job could be for you.
Job includes:
Serving walk-in customers courteously and graciously
Blending coffee
Stamping and writing on coffee bags
Bagging coffee
Creating orders based on emails and invoices
Boxing orders
Lifting Boxes
Loading vans
Delivering coffee in a large van
Cleaning the warehouse
Cleaning the kitchen
Cleaning the vans
Gassing vans with diesel OR regular fuel
Receiving packages
Organizing goods in the warehouse
Lifting at least 50lbs often
Potentally working remote events serving coffee
Potentially executing coffee demos in stores
Going on missions of varying degrees
Requirements:
Barista Experience Preferred - proficiency and confidence steaming milk and pulling shots on a variety of espresso machines
Valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record
Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
Must be comfortable taking direction when necessary, but also working autonomously to solve problems and execute on a schedule without constant direction.
Must be comfortable with a dynamic work environment and potentially a dynamic schedule dictated by special events and holidays.
