Local company seeking qualified and competent (Drone Pilots and Safety Observers) to operate sUAS/sUAV systems in North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana.

Job applicants must have at a minimum the ability to prove they have received the following criteria to the afore-mentioned positions we are seeking to fill.

PIC's must have: "Either" a Private Pilots, Commercial Pilots, Instructor Pilots or Sports Pilots Certification and a Current Medical Certificate from a registered and approved FAA Licensed Physician. Candidates must have Part 107 Unmanned Certification as of August 29, 2016. Candidates must take and pass and have met all FAA sUAS / sUAV PIC requirements. (When responding to job posting, please attach all FAA Part 107 certificates and endorsements to be considered for job). All applicants MUST BE US CITIZENS.

OASIS USA is currently seeking applicants with a minimum of 250 flight hours of UAS/UAV applications or Commercial Drone to include hobbyist from local flight clubs or groups. Additional training and mastery of flight for sUAS/sUAV systems will be available. Formal training and certification will be made possible through a local (Western North Carolina UAS Training Academy) that will be open in 2016. Both online and in the seat training programs will be available for all applicants. Cost of the per credit hour course will be determined soon along with full syllabus and website for the registration process.

This company is seeking to deliver competent and qualified applicants to the Drone Training Program. Upon graduation and receiving new FAA required certifications, applicants will then be able to perform ongoing inspections of utilities, cell towers, bridges and overpass, light railways, oil and gas platforms both onshore and offshore.

Pilots in these programs start out Hourly Rates of $30-$35.00 per hour. Furthermore more experienced pilots and observers will achieve additional training over a period of time which allows them to achieve post educational credits along with Continuing Education Programs for Full Time Personnel competency.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute commercial UAV missions for diverse client base
  • Provide performance related feedback to enable system improvements and advances
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to supported customers
  • Configure UAV equipment and sensor payloads to meet mission requirements
  • Review airspace requirements and operate systems safely and within requirements of applicable flight regulations as required by the FAA and specific location requirements
  • Assist with maintenance actions as required
  • Responsible for the safe launch, management and recovery of unmanned aerial vehicles, systems and the necessary data/information obtained
  • Will support the development of deliverable products to commercial customers utilizing imagery and video collected from UAV mission(s), to include working with commercial off the shelf and proprietary software data dissemination and creation tools
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted
  • Ability to work remotely and independently, as well as with a team
  • Maintain currency/proficiency on any OSHA and MSHA requirements as defined by the supported customer

Requirements:

  • FAA Private Pilot's License (Instrument rating and/or Commercial license preferred)
  • Current FAA Class II Medical certificate
  • Previous experience as a UAV operator with documented hours
  • Photogrammetric /aerial photography and previous experience with EO payloads required
  • Strong computer/information systems knowledge required
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task or handle multiple projects
  • Prior military service preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of civilian airspace required
  • Extensive knowledge of FAA regulations concerning commercial UAV operations required
