This exciting opportunity will include the team member to develop web/application software for courseware /serious games in an Agile team environment and participate in relevant aspects of application design cooperating with software engineers, subject matter experts, and instructional designers.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement, including modeling practices, standards, and tools
- Develop design documentation
- Implement and document assigned simulation capabilities
- Implement and document unit tests for assigned software capabilities
- Works under limited supervision and direction
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Digital Media, or other Engineering/Technical discipline preferred
Experience: 2-5 years of software development experience required. Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good interpersonal communication and team-oriented skills. Programming proficiency with JavaScript/JQuery including experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/D) and MVC or MVVM type web frameworks (Angular, React, etc.). Solid foundation in the basic web stack of JavaScript/HTML5/CSS3 required. Experience with software source control and configuration management processes is required. Experience with software engineering processes and process improvement is required. Flexibility to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and work priorities is required. Experience with Agile development is desired. Experience with computed style sheets extensions SASS/LESS a plus. Node.js and NPM experience a plus. Mobile/responsive application design is a plus.
Must be able to obtain a security clearance and US passport.
