HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN - RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL

Peach State Air Conditioning (Statesboro, Metter, Claxton, Sylvania, Millen, Pembroke)

This professional will assist in setting work priorities, and coordinating work assignments to ensure quality workmanship and completion of jobs within set timeframes. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Informing supervisors of job progress and issues
  • Responding to emergencies and complex service call, including driving to Customer sites, greeting Customers, troubleshooting, and diagnosing/resolving problems.
  • Describing options and costs, obtaining approval, and making repairs.
  • Performing Preventive Maintenance
  • Repairing Complete Systems.
  • Checking condensation drain lines to ensure freedom of debris and proper drainage.
  • Documenting services, explaining guarantees/warranties, and collecting/recording and delivery fees to the office.
  • Ensuring that all repairs and installations are accurate, serviceable, and meet safety and regulatory standards and codes.
  • Ordering materials for jobs
  • Promoting service agreements and offering assistance with financing of service cost and installations.
  • Training less-experienced technicians and acting as a crew leader.

What You Need to Succeed and Grow with the Pros

Required Credentials:

  • Two(2) or more years of related HVAC service experience in addition to training, or equivalent combination of experience and advanced training.
  • If for Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration - Three(3) years experience as Commercial HVACR Service Technician. (Restaurant experience is a plus)
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical and gas diagnostics and air flow
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctioning heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of malfunction
  • Current driver’s license with good driving record
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Demonstrate ability to use current Android/Apple technology for communications and field reporting
  • A willingness to work until the last job of the day is done
  • Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Strong communications/interpersonal skills
  • The ability to regularly move, lift, carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, including ductwork, furnaces and related materials
  • An honest and gentle approach with all of our Customers

Preferred Credentials:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two or more years of electrical/HVAC service training, or completion of an approved training program.
  • Nate Certified preferred

Required license or certification:

  • EPA Certification
