About the role:

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean supply of dishes and kitchen utensils as well as keeping the kitchen, snack areas and dining rooms clean and tidy. The ideal candidate believes in showing up on time for work, providing other employees with assistance in the kitchen as needed and following all sanitary and health-related protocols.

This is a full-time position.  Our Kitchen operates with a day shift and an afternoon shift 7 days a week.  Pay is $15.00 per hour to start.

Your responsibilities:

• Operate an industrial dishwasher and hand wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles
• Maintain clean and sanitary employee dining and other service areas
• Deep clean kitchen areas as scheduled
• Stock snack areas and clean coffee machines daily
• Maintain a constant supply of dishware and serve ware at all times
• Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources
• Clean dish storage
• Follow sanitation policies at all times
• Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
• Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
• Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party
• Supports Pack Team as needed
• Perform other related duties as required

Our ideal candidate has:

• High school or equivalent education preferred
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Able to stand in one place and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time
• Basic knowledge of health and safety standards

Requirements:

General

• You'll need to wear protective footwear.

Physical

• You'll be working in a busy, fast paced kitchen.  Kitchen work is generally pretty hot and the noise level is generally moderate to loud.  You will regularly need to around 35 lbs and occasionally need to lift 50 lbs.
