We are currently seeking applicants to join our team as Cleaning Crew Members.

Must be able to work the night shift, Monday thru Friday, from 6pm-12:00am. 

This position is not located in St. Louis, Missouri. This position is located in Kennett, Missouri with a firm start date of May 1, 2018. A background check is required for this postion.

Cleaning Crew Member

SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing janitorial cleaning and stocking of supplies inside of assigned building. Including general office areas, restrooms, break rooms, meeting rooms, and entrances as needed. Responds to building's needs in a timely and effective manner. Quality customer service will be provided to the client at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Vacuuming, sweeping of floors, and stairs (with brushes or dust control mops), and mopping of floors (with wet or damp mops.)
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, fixtures, and drinking fountains.
  • Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
  • Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common areas (soap, toilet paper, and paper towels). 
  • Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary, and transport waste material to designated collection points. 
  • Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training.)
  • Cleaning of internal windowsills and windows.
  • To dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, and window sills. 
  • Cleaning of restaurant equpment and kitchen if necessary. (Applies only to restaurant cleanings.)
  • Maintain janitorial closets in clean, organized and safe manner.
  • Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
  • Proper labeling, dilution and use of all chemicals as directed by the Shift Supervisor/Team Lead in the discharge of cleaning operations or maintenance procedures (after receiving proper instructions and training.)
  • Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
  • Be familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Ensuring while performing assigned clean to properly secure the premises (Locking door after entry, not allowing entry to any unauthorized individals on customers premises. At no time will any employee of Diane's Cleaning Company, LLC unlock doors on the premises once locked authorize entry to any unauthorized vistors. All authorized personnel should have an access key/badge to allow proper access.  
  •  All employees must wear the company uniform and properly display their company ID identifying them as an authorized employee while on the premises performing all assigned duties.  
  • Perform daily checks for cleanliness and completed assignments.
  • Maintain cleaning schedule (checklist may be provided by customer or Diane's Cleaning Company, LLC and is to be completed as specified.)
  • Identify potential safety and maintenance issues, communicates them to the client on customer checklist if provided. (If no checklist provided will communicate to the identified point of contact.)
  • Respond promptly to account inquiries.
  • Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Missouri Driver's License required.
  • Ability to drive to and from various job sites as needed.
  • SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: A background check consisting of employment history, professional references, criminal check and educational verification (i.e., degree, license, or official transcript) may be conducted. Applicants will be required to pass the background check to the satisfaction of the hiring agency if employees are to perform any work on or within any Federal, State, or Local Government building.

  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The work is performed in offices and restaurants with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.

  • PYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds utilizes a team lift.
