Human Resource Administrative Assistant

Temp to Perm opportunity with manufacturing company located in Tualatin, OR.
$16/hr - $20/hr DOE

This is a permanent position with potential to grow into more advanced HR responsibilities and other areas such as marketing and special projects. The individual will work directly with and support the HR & Publications Manager and the Bookkeeper/HR Administrator. In addition, they may also support and perform work directed by the Chief Operating Officer.

Human Resources Assistant
Support numerous area of HR such as; attendance, timekeeping, policies, rules & regulations, benefits, interviewing, employee relations, worker’s comp. Employment verifications and onboarding of new employees with overall benefits, policies and relative documentation. Process employee enrollment into group health, dental, cafeteria plan, life and disability websites. Ensure all laws, policies and procedures are followed, that forms and documentation are accurate, complete and administered in a timely manner. Update, create and maintain records, including timekeeping and tracking systems. Proficient communication as liaison between employees and HR Department. Support employees by answering questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits and documents. Utilize strong sense of motivation, diplomacy, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism. Attend and document investigations and disciplinary meetings. Assist other areas of HR by undertaking special projects as necessary. May use specialized software applications. Work under limited supervision and often make decisions based upon established policies and/or procedures. Serve on Safety Committee and perform onboard safety orientation training. Process forms, compile packets, file, photocopy, email and fax.

Administrative Assistant
Perform administrative support work in a variety of areas and duties. Assist the department or function manager and other department or function staff by performing support duties such as; meeting planning & scheduling, preparing complex documents, front desk phone coverage or coordinating activities. Collect, compile, record or otherwise gather data and prepare standard and custom reports with information necessary for decision-making. Use computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, web page content preparation or scheduling. Exercise independent judgment and discretion. Make non-routine choices within established guidelines, with minimal supervision. Filing, photocopying and faxing.
