Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

Job Duties

1. Supervise warehouse staff in daily job functions; oversee the entire process and deploy assets as required to ensure delivery commitments are met while meeting site quality, efficiency and safety goals.
2. Query Warehouse Management System for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures.
3. Manage employee schedules and personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary actions.
4. Take a leadership role in instilling a safety and environmental compliance culture.
5. Oversee the performance of the employees, verifying with reports from the Warehouse Management System for accuracy and progress.
6. Maintain storage areas by organizing floor space and adhering to storage design principles.
7. Train and develop team members with systems, current processes and company policies.
8. Prepare reports, compose professional emails, maintain daily logs and write and conduct performance evaluations.
9. Assure that all employees follow all safety rules and regulations, to include good housekeeping habits.
10. Responsible for security of company property. Ensure that all equipment is secure and doors and gates are locked at end of shift.

Preferred knowledge

• Warehouse Management System

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Logistics

Required skills and experience

• 3 - 5 years supervisory experience in a 3PL warehouse

• Excellent written communication skills

• Intermediate computer skills- Microsoft Office, Outlook, typing, etc.

• Operate a sit down forklift
