Job purpose: the Interviewer is responsible for supporting the Telemed team by insuring all incoming work is assigned and completed within the same day. Daily duties may include but are not limited to answering incoming telephones for Telemed Interviews, all of the field offices, agents, brokers, applicants and clients, handling complaints as needed and have a basic understanding of the paramedical process. Additionally, the Interviewer, may be asked to act as mentors for their teammates in answering questions, providing training and assisting with special projects.  Duties and responsibilities

  • Interviews
    • Obtain health history and personal information from clients applying for insurance
    • Promote professionalism and adhere to confidentiality agreements
  • Customer Service
    • Supports the mission statement to develop, enhance, and promote quality customer service through team efforts
    • Exhibits flexibility, sensitivity, and respect, maintaining a working relationship with all team members
  • Training & Development
    • Attends and participates in development programs
    • Maintain certification where applicable, and continue to improve skills
    • Cross train to other positions as directed
    • When requested, train teammates on new tasks, mentor new employees
    • Answer questions on process and system functionality
  • Professional Image
    • Exhibits professional demeanor at all times while representing the practice
  • Goals & Objectives
    • Set goals and objectives for professional growth. Reviews and revises these on an ongoing basis
    • Gives input and supports management/practice decisions

Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent, good organizational skills, effective communication skills and critical thinking. Must be able to work compatibly as a team member with co-workers. Ability to logically think and determine the next step to pursue. Prefer 6 months of customer service experience and knowledge of medical terminology.  Working conditions Part-Time 25-29 hours per week. Physical requirements The ability to sit for extended periods; lift up to 10 lbs; utilize computer, monitor, and keyboard for assigned shift.
