Employees in our Maintenance and Electronics departments are an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. There are a variety of roles within this title such as Mechanics of different skill levels, Mechanic apprentices/assistants, and Electricians. Maintenance and Electronic workers responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the all accepts of the facility and it's equipment as well was constructing, developing, and designing areas of the plant, perform preventative maintenance work; conduct daily set-up of area; troubleshoot power transmission, pneumatics, & hydraulics; and limited welding, all while making safety and food safety the number one priorities.
While performing the duties of a Maintenance or Electronics worker, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. The employee must work with chemicals and solvents and have the ability to operate moving vehicles. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility. (Not an all-inclusive list)
Perform repetitive or non-routine tasks. Examples include:
May operate heavy machinery (including forklift) or computer programs
Use a variety of tools and retrieve parts
Conduct daily set-up of area
Troubleshooting
Working around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity
Ensuring safety, food safety and quality
Cleanliness and housekeeping
Maintaining a safe working environment
Required Qualifications
* Legal to work in the US
* Must be at least 18 years or older
* Ability to read, write, and speak English
* Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
* Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects
* Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous Cargill Experience
* Computer skills
* Previous experience
* Work history in the last 12 months
