General Maintenance is a vital role in the dailyoperations of our facility. There are a variety of roles and responsibilitieswithin this title. The types of roles available require troubleshooting, ensuringproper maintenance and operational status of equipment, using a variety of handtools to set up, break down, adjust production line machinery, and performingother duties pertaining to hydraulics and pneumatics, all while making safetythe number one priority. Maintenance requires being able to read manuals writtenin English and the ability to write and document information.

While performing the duties of General Maintenance, theemployee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slipperysurfaces; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positionsrequire standing the entire shift and the use of PPE is required in all areasof the facility.

PrincipalAccountabilities

Perform repetitive tasks. Examples include:

* Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery

* Ensuring food safety and quality

* Cleanliness and housekeeping

* Responding to radio calls from other departments (production, food safety, safety, etc) for maintenance related actions

* Communicating with other departments and other maintenance shifts to ensure proper pass down of maintenance related issues to the next shift

* Documenting daily work assigned on paper and also in the maintenance management system (MAXIMO)

Required Qualifications

* Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

* Must be 18 years or older

* Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction,multiplication, and division

* Ability to read, write, and speak English

* Basic computer skills

* Basic knowledge of hand-tools

* Ability to use a powered industrial truck (PIT) or eligible to acquirelicense and maintain the license

* Ability to operate a forklift and other motorized equipment

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous production experience

* Meat processing experience

* Previous maintenance experience

* Previous Cargill experience

* Work history in the past 12 months
