Responsibilities & Requirements
  • Companionship & Conversation -  You’ll have the opportunity to listen to firsthand accounts of historical moments, love, family and life as you get to know your client.
  • Meal Preparation – You’ll use your knowledge of your client’s preferences, cultural background, and dietary needs to prepare nutritious and appealing meals.
  • Light Housekeeping – You’ll assess your client’s needs and ensure their environment is clean, healthy and safe.
  • Medication & Appointment Reminders – You’ll follow written and verbal communication to ensure your client stays on track with medications and appointments.
  • Assistance with bathing, grooming & toileting – You’ll treat your client with dignity and respect as you assist them with their most basic and private needs.
  • Transportation- You’ll get to help your client to the grocery store, to the doctor’s office, or even out to lunch or a movie! So you’ll need a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license and up-to-date auto insurance in your name.
  • Alzheimer’s & Memory Care – You’ll aide your client throughout the day to keep them engaged and occupied. You’ll assist them with activities of daily living with patience, empathy and kindness.
 Must be willing to complete a criminal background check, DMV check & drug screen
  • Ideal candidate will have some (1+ year) personal or professional caregiving experience, however, this is not necessary and Home Instead Senior Care will provide skills training to the right candidate
