The Business & Leadership Intern Program (BLIP) is designed for students that have a desire to learn business and leadership skills in a High Performance Organization (HPO). Acceptance into this intern program is open to all students who are enrolled in a Bachelor’s Program.
This is a paid internship that will provide students with the opportunity to learn and practice valuable skills in a high-volume, highly respected, nationally recognized brand - Chick-fil-A®. They will work directly with the local franchise Owner/Operator. The intern will work as a member of a High Performance Leadership Team (HPLT). Unlike a hands-off "managerial" position, this is a hands-on educational opportunity to learn, lead, and demonstrate servant leadership skills.
Program Highlights:
- 24 month duration
- Intern will spend 12 months in each of two chosen Areas of Focus
- Three Areas of Focus (Interns will choose 2)
- Focus 1 - Production
- Focus 2 - Operations and Business Analysis
- Focus 3 - Marketing and Hospitality
- Spend approximately 12 months in each area
- Phase 1 - 3 months immersed in the tasks
- Phase 2 - 6 months immersed in leadership
- Phase 3 - 3 months using skills to manage measurable improvements
- Minimum of 12 hours per week
- Work with senior leaders (Director and GM) in Phases 1 and 2
- Work with senior leaders and the Owner/Operator in Phases 2 and 3
- Attend bi-monthly leadership meetings during Phases 2 and 3
- "Own" an Area of Responsibility (AOR) specific to your Focus
- Work a SMART project in the late part of Phase 2 through the end of Phase 3
- Be eligible to apply for a $2500 Chick-fil-A Leadership Scholarship and a $25,000 True Inspiration Scholarship
- Completion of internship is a launching platform for career opportunities at Chick-fil-A Greeley or Chick-fil-A, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia.
Minimum Requirements:
- Commit to year-round availability
- Have a reliable and consistent means of transportation
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Communicate in conversational English
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor's Program
- Piercings limited to ears for women only
- Tattoos must be covered by the uniform
- Modest hair styles and natural hair colors
- No beards and sideburns may not extend beyond bottom of ear
