Job Summary:

AECOM Hunt is currently seeking talented individuals for internships beginning in May of 2017 to participate in the Building Construction Internship Program.

Operating under moderate supervision, the Intern delivers project activities requiring varied interpersonal and construction skills. While supporting the estimating department, the Intern's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Perform quantity takeoff from construction documents.

* Create detailed cost breakdowns and assist with conceptual estimating.

* Provide technical assistance to operations during contract negotiations.

* Assist with the preparation of bid packages.

* Communicate and align the scope of work from subcontractors with Hunt's internal estimate.

* Assist with the development of Value Analysis items against the current estimate.

* Perform comparisons of previous budgets with the current estimate.

* *Minimum Requirements**

+ Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in construction management, building technology, civil engineering or similar major

+ Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion

+ Ability to learn new technologies and concepts

+ Demonstrated leadership abilities

+ Willing to work a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Eagerness to learn and positive attitude

* *Preferred Qualifications** Previous experience in estimating preferred.
