The Position
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Engineering & Operations, the Senior Network Security Specialist will be responsible for the design and operational support of the enterprise network and security infrastructure, with a focus on routers, firewalls, switches, and VPNS. Including but not limited to ensuring availability of production systems and applications. Implementing redundancy, failover, capacity planning and other network management services.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
* Design, configure, implement & support Firewalls, Routers, WAN Networks, Switches & VPNS
* Implement & support large scale solutions for 40,000 users
* Provide third-tier operational support to internal IT departments to solve complex networks.
* Document diagrams, processes, policies, and procedures as required.
* Work onsite (this is not a telecommute position)

The Senior Network Security Specialist will possess at least five years of combined experience in network/systems architecture and information security (IP networking, firewalls, switches, VPNs, etc.)
Additionally, the successful candidate will possess:
* Highly disciplined and motivated, able to work independently, under direction, or as a member of a team
* Must be willing to periodically work non-standard hours and be on call
* Must be able to attain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
* U.S. Citizenship required.
Required Technical Knowledge:
* Strong understanding of Enterprise Class Firewalls (Checkpoint, GAIA, SPLAT, Cisco, Juniper, F5)
* Strong understanding of LAN/WAN/ Hosting Networks including (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRF, QOS, Route Groups, VLAN, VOIP)
* Strong understanding of VPNS & remote access (IPSEC, SSLVPN, Reverse Proxy, GRE)
* Strong understanding of security zones, DMZs and 3-Tier Architecture
* Strong troubleshooting skills of complex network, system, and/or security problems.
* Working knowledge of TCP/IP and related networking protocols
* Strong understanding of two factor authentication systems (RSA SecurID, PKI, SMS, Microsoft MFA)
* Experience with various web proxy solutions (Blue Coat, McAfee)
* Experienced in various packet sniffers (ping, traceroute, tcpdump, Wireshark, snoop)
* Experience with DNS and load balancing solutions (Infoblox, F5 DNS Express & Global Server Load Balancing)
* Experience with cloud solution providers (Amazon Web Services, Azure, AT&T NetBond, ExpressRoute)
Other Preferred Technical Skills
* Bachelors degree (or higher) in related area of study is preferred
* Identity Management (Active Directory, SAML, ADFS, OAUTH)
* Virtual Environments & Systems (VMware, Hyper-V, Veeam, Server 2012R, Linux)
* Email Security Solutions (IronPort, Proofpoint, Exchange, O365)
* Logging and Monitoring Solutions (ArcSight, Splunk, Syslog, SolarWinds)
* Wireless solutions (Aruba & Cisco)
Other Desired Skills:
