Job Summary: The Account Management Specialist On-Site is the primaryday-to-day contact for our high priority customer located in Fremont, CA. TheAccount Management Specialist will act as the liaison between the company andthe customer, with the objective to exceed the customer's expectations and workwith internal and external groups to resolve any issues proactively. TheAccount Management Specialist will monitor order acceptance, order maintenanceand provide transportation solutions to ensure fluidity and drive out costsfrom the customer's supply chain. This position reports to the Manager, AccountManagement.

Essential Job Functions:

* Develop a proactiverelationship with the assigned customer through resolution of issues andconcerns in a timely manner. Provide innovative solutions, engaging withcustomer operators, ensure clarity on priorities and resolution of issues,leveraging the HUB organization.

* Demonstratequick decision making skills in order to react to situations requiringimmediate action.

* Enforce timely andpredictable pick-up/delivery, offering alternative transportation solutions, asnecessary.

* Immediately escalateany deviations to Plan, in direct engagement with the relevant customeroperator, maintaining full visibility and awareness of all in-transitshipments, while closely monitoring for any potential disruptions.

* Manage assignedcustomer to ensure they receive the best product at the lowest possible cost,while maximizing On-Time Performance.

* Make specific andimplementable recommendations for process improvements and business developmentopportunities for agreement by the customer.

* Communicate with shipperand consignee contacts regarding exception notification and problem resolution.

* Maximize Hubprofitability and reduce customer cost exposure by working with Operations toproperly manage assets and carriers.

* Forcustomer specific issues and requirements, direct HUB organization to executethe best customer solution.

* Actionservice recovery decisions with company cost implications up to USD $25k perincident.

* Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned orchanged from time to time.

* Bachelor'sdegree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management preferred.

* Solidunderstanding of transportation and logistics principles, economics, and supplychain network behavior.

* Outstanding leadership abilitiesincluding problem solving, interpersonal communications, goal orientation,teaching/coaching, self-discipline and systemic thinking and the ability toanalyze data, draw conclusions, use good business judgment and make gooddecisions.

* Experiencewith EDI processes, Web Tender Portals, fax and other applicable forms ofelectronic communication preferred.

* Capableof working independently in high-paced, fluid environment with a strong senseof urgency.

* Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, Word.

* Highlyeffective communication, both verbal and written and have the ability tocommunicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

* Attentionto detail, organizational skills, and customer focused.

* Abilityto work weekends and afterhours when required.

* Ability to travel quarterly toCorporate Headquarters in Oak Brook.

* Ability to managemultiple priorities as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systemsand methods while working in a team environment.
