Providence is calling a per diem, variable shift Security Officer to the Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
* Staff fixed posts or patrol on foot, bicycle or in vehicle to enforce laws in and about property.
* Protect employees and members of the public at our facilities from bodily harm.
* Safeguard property against fire, theft and vandalism.
Required qualifications for this position include:
* Valid California driver license
* Current California Guard card
* Current LA City Fire Card within 90 days of employment
* Current Healthcare provider BLS card within 90 days of employment
* Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) within 90 days of employment
* Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Course or training in criminal law or police department background
* Skills in security CCTV console systems
* Skills in computerized security and fire alarm system
