JOB SUMMARY: In accordance with our mission and core values, the licensed physical therapist will evaluate and treat patients with neuro/musculoskeletal movement disorders and skin integrity problems utilizing specialized knowledge, judgement and therapeutic skills to return the patient to the highest functional level possible. The PT will develop treatment plans ensuring multi disciplinary team involvement to meet established goals that follow practice guidelines, regulatory standards and department procedures.

Education: Current Physical Therapy License in Arkansas

Experience: Six month internship which is part of Physical Therapy School Entry Level Masters program or I year Internship which is part of DPT program. Must have two years experience and demonstrated leadership to act as area supervisor or weekend supervisor

Physical Requirements: This job requires, at various times, the following physical activities; climbing, balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, carrying, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing, sometimes exerting in excess of 20-100 pounds of force. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform daily activities. May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals), infectious diseases, and may be required to function around prisoners and mental patients.

Skills: Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support Course C. The PT must possess demonstrated knowledge, training, and skills necessary and appropriate to the neonate, child, adolescent, adult and older adult. They must demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to deal effectively with multi disciplinary team members, patients, patient's family members and physicians. Must possess effective decision making, evaluation/assessment and critical thinking skills. Supervisors and acting supervisors must be able to set priorities and effectively delegate/coordinate multi disciplinary care based on the needs of the patient, the census, staffing and department standards/protocols.
