Kitchen Manager - Full-time

General Job Requirements:

• Previous kitchen management experience required.
• Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet the company performance standards and expectations for the job.
• Must participate in all company training, orientations and meetings.
• Must be able to work the schedule/assigned times and required additional time for the position.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform the job. Including POS computers, KDS, and back of house computers that require the ability to use most standard Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to supervise and develop hourly team members.
• Flexibility and willingness to work with all personality types from owners, management and team members.
• Ability to provide our guests and catering clients with outstanding customer service.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must have the physical ability and stamina to perform all necessary job functions required of a member of management.
• Due to required business travel (catering & visiting our other locations), valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required. Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must have or be able to pass the ServSafe Food Safety Managers Certificate.

Specific Job Requirements:

• Ability to apply rational principles to solve practical problems which involve a variety of variables.
• Ability to write produce and product truck orders.
• Recognize word meanings commonly found in restaurant management journals, manuals, procedural instructions, and business and technical reports regarding operations. 
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness standards set by The Department of Health and AliMax Enterprises, LLC.
• Effectively communicate goals to all team members and guide them to find the best method to achieve them. 
• Must be able to complete all other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. 
• Training will be conducted at our Herndon, VA location and will last approximaely 3 weeks. Training is Mon-Fri days.

Our restaurants are open seven days a week. Due to the nature of our business, there are never any “set" schedules and managers typically work 5 days a week, 18-10 hours per day, with two days off. Hours can increase depending on the following conditions: staffing levels, opportunity, and the management team's performance. Our management team’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: hiring, training, scheduling, managing labor expenses, running successful shifts, product orders, invoice entry, inventory, calculating food cost, and other expense supervision. We teach our managers the business of restaurants therefore they are aware of, track, and control every expense, and are knowledgeable of all components of the budget and expectations. Our concept is customer driven and centered, with managers spending shifts withing directly with the team on the line and expo'ing during rushes, and being working-managers during slower times.  We are a very hands-on company who tries to lead by example. Our management team supervises, mentors, and works directly with our valued team members on a daily basis in order to coach, grow, and develop our people and our restaurant.  

*Work schedule set weekly at supervisor discretion and includes weekends and nights. Normal days off will mostly be Monday and Wednsday or Thursday.
