Summary:

The Xfinity Communities Senior Event Representative drives incremental product and service sales primarily through the execution of assigned promotions and events. Their sales and event focus is within privately owned, multi-dwelling properties and communities but can include other social event functions and on-line initiatives in their community. In addition to driving sales, the Senior Event Specialist works to enhance and support the customer experience. They serve as the point of contact for customers in their assigned area, manage contracts for accounts, provide client services support for the portfolios of Community Account Representatives (CARs), troubleshoot and/or resolve customer concerns. They have in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in this discipline in order to provide an exceptional customer experience.The Senior Event Specialist works independently with minimal guidance. They usually determine their own work priorities and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. They oversee event logistics, including contracting, venue set up and design and technical services.

Core Responsibilities:

Unit and Revenue Generation

* Adds new and maintains existing commercial customer internet, video, and voice services while generating new subscribers, within targeted properties, through various promotional, social, internet and community events.

* Utilizes retention techniques to proactively retain existing customers from downgrading or canceling service.

* As needed at events and/or property visits, demonstrates an advanced knowledge of Comcast products, promoting and selling offerings to individual residents, including upgrades.

* Displays thorough and recent competitive knowledge of features, benefits, product differences, pricing, and campaigns for video, high-speed internet, voice and XFINITY Home.

* Reviews Comcast bills with residents as needed and is proficient in Comcast billing procedures.

* Effectively communicates and develops rapport with residents and Property Staff.

* Evaluates individual residents' existing and potential product needs and makes recommendations. Increases resident and Property Staff understanding of Comcast products and pricing models as well as competitive advantages over other service providers.

* Evaluates competitive offers and frames response to show the benefits of Comcast.

Promotion, Event and Marketing Management:

* Coordinates and executes all promotional events and provides marketing support, including but not limited to, the overall coordination, planning, negotiation and execution of events at designated properties, the production and distribution of printed materials, point-of-purchase displays, prize packages, and scheduling of all promotions.

* Oversees event logistics, including venue set up and design, sources vendors, ensures appropriate staffing at events, as well as partnering and coordinating with Tech Ops.

* Conducts budget management duties per event; prioritizing allocated dollars every quarter and tracks to budgets.

* Implements promotional activities including brand, marketing campaigns and online initiatives.

* Collaborates with other key personnel to create promotional assets, develop promotional strategy for value-add services, align messaging, and ensure tracking requirements are implemented for site promotions.

* Supports Sales team by providing training in promotional sales, distributing and explaining network promotions, and traveling to property meetings to help present and sell promotional concepts, Comcast products and services.

* Utilizes successful marketing skills to conduct overall marketing and property assessments, determines marketing collateral, customizes for presence on website, newsletter, signage in gyms, etc.

* Provides solutions to customer escalations (these are treated like a corporate escalation i.e. wiring issues, safety issues, construction, spends capital dollars) and partners with Tech Ops when necessary.

* Works with Community Account Representatives (CAR) and Market Development Manager (MDM) to identify trends in escalations and come up with solutions to resolve. Provides overall support to growth.

Administrative and Business Tasks:

* Reporting, attend meetings, develop and maintain contact lists. Manage portfolio updates.

* Establishes, maintains, and monitors an annual events and promotions calendar.

* Attends sales meetings on a regular basis to report on the status of property promotions and events.

* Keeps current with developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive services

* Requires a background in sales and marketing understands needs and ordering of premiums.

* Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

* Has in depth experience, knowledge and skills to work independently with minimal to no guidance.

* Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

Field of Study: Sales and Marketing, Communications / Public Relations

Other: Previous experience with and/or the ability to master company internal applications supporting SalesForceautomation. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite of products, functions and applications

Years Experience: Generally requires 1-3 years related experience
