An opportunity of a lifetime is now here for you! We are looking for a dynamic individual with strong communication skills who wants to help others and make a difference in your community. This position is to work with inmates at a correctional facility located in the greater Denver area. Position entails to provide and manage direct healthcare for patients in a correctional facility.

Essential Functions:

·         Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment for patients in a correctional facility

·         Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.

·         Maintain medical records and charts documenting all medical services rendered.

·         Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.

·         Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.

·         Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and experience requirements

·         Current Colorado State Medical License

·         DEA License

·         Current CPR certification

·         Current malpractice insurance

·         Two years experience as a physician

·         Other relevant professional experiences or educational backgrounds will be considered as deemed appropriate. However, when licensure is required by local, state, federal or contractual guidelines, we will not alter our position on those requirements.
