This requisition/job description reflects potential co-op openings for the Summer 2017 Co-op Session (May - August). College students must apply to this requisition to indicate their interest.
Assist Die Service Technicians and leaders on a daily/weekend and shutdown basis for:
* Troubleshooting, determining root cause, die recovery and die repair
* Gaining a general understanding of the department and die operation
* Gaining exposure to the production, quality and equipment entities and how they function together as a department
* Becoming familiar with the general aluminum die casting theories and process
* Reporting daily activity and die downtime into the die downtime management system
* Possible project assignments to challenge technical abilities relating to course studies
Skills/Courses:
Required: Mechanical aptitude, basic math
Desired: Machine trades, tool and die, welding, metal fabrication, Ag/Diesel or Automotive Mechanics, technical math, theory in electrical and mechanical systems, blueprint reading, fluid power/hydraulics, electrical wiring and understanding of materials
Program Requirements:
Class Status: Freshman or above
Term: Minimum of 10 weeks required.
Shift/Hours: Must be able to work a minimum of three days per week and at least four hours per day. Full-time and part-time opportunities available on various shifts.
Degree: Candidate must be enrolled in an associate degree or trade school studying Welding, Machining, Automotive, Ag/Diesel, Applied Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical and/or Electrical Technology

* Anna, OH (45 minutes north of Dayton, OH)
