POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This full-time one year rotation undergrad internship will support the RPA program within Medtronic. The successful candidate will leverage process-driven, analytical, technical and financial management skills to create and maintain automation (routines/programs) solutions. Solutions will include defining, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automations/robots, in a professional consultative project delivery environment.

This position reports to Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Team Lead.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Partner with internal & external stakeholders to identify automation opportunities by analyzing processes and assessing feasibility for automation

* Analyze, understand, and document the business processes in detail

* Participate in various types of interviews, meetings or workshops to design and configure automation solutions

* Create & Maintain solution documentations

* Create & Document test procedures and scenarios prior to launching User Acceptance Testing ("UAT")

* Support or participate with the Operational teams in testing activities, including integration testing, end-to-end (business process) testing and UAT

* Problem-solve issues that arise in day-to-day running of automation processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required

* Support and participate in the project lifecycle of automations

* Communicate any identified and potential risks and issues to Process Automation Team Lead accordingly and provide actionable inputs to mitigate

* Performs code review of service provider automations and provides constructive feedback to ensure quality of code

* Supports QA & Audit activities as needed

* All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.

* Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, the following basic qualifications must be evident on your resume

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

* Undergraduate degree in process with an academic concentration in Computer Science or Engineering

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

* 1+ years of college-level programming coursework

* GPA of 3.2 or above

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

* Experience in programming and/or experience with analyzing business processes

* Experience in developing macros or automation tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Knowledge of systems development life cycle and structured programming methods (both traditional and agile), including requirements definition, solution design, program development, testing, documentation, training, deployment, operations, support and maintenance

* Understanding of performance measurement and continuous improvement (Lean / Six-Sigma)

* Ability to work independently, or in groups, as the lead participant

* Ability to work well with business analysts, programmers, vendors and end users in cross functional teams

* Understanding of BPO industry and offshore model

* Willingness to travel to service provider location(s) located in offshore geographies

* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

* An understanding of workflow based logic. Ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram or procedural documentation

* Excellent interpersonal communications skills; able to effectively communicate and build relationships with end users, peers, management and third parties

* Ability to prioritize, schedule and complete development and testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules

* Positive "glass half-full" attitude, pleasant to work with, focused on customer satisfaction

* Excellent facilitation skills working with both internal and external parties

* Strong verbal and written communications skills, articulate, speaks and writes English well
