The Sterling Hotel & Suites is looking for friendly, authentic and service-driven individuals to care for our valued Guests at our hotel, featuring 112 studios and two-level penthouse suites.  We want them – and you – to feel like this is your home away from home!

Needing individuals with a Hospitality Heart to provide excellent customer service through all means of communication (email, telephone, and in-person).  Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Making, changing and cancelling reservations
  • Registering and checking out guests
  • Assist guest with area recommendations, directions, and then follow up to ensure Guest Satisfaction
  • Be a Sales Ambassador for the hotel by engaging guests in conversation and sharing leads with Sales and General Managers
  • Follows KHC cash handling and property posting procedures to ensure accurate financial information
  • Follows proper safety procedures at all times to avoid injuries

Best fit for this position are those individuals who are friendly, outgoing, engaging and enjoy working with people.  Previous computer experience required.  Previous reservation experience strongly preferred.  Training, competitive wages, full-time benefits and potential advancement opportunities available.  Must be flexible in hours worked, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to complaints or inquiries from groups of managers, customers or employees in person, via telephone or in writing. Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees in person, via telephone or in writing.
 
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Ability to accurately handle cash, credit cards and checks. Ability to use basic accounting functions to balance deposits/daily work.
 
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
 
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: May require franchise specific certification depending on business unit.
