Title: Bartender

Qualifications:
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability and desire to withstand prolonged periods of standing, walking
- Position requires bending, reaching, twisting and lifting trays and linen (weighing up to 70 lbs.)
- Ability and desire to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor at all times and manage the bar area
Position Summary: Responsible for daily bar set up for banquet and a la carte, bar service to members and guests, maintenance of neat, clean, and orderly bar. Assists bar porter in breaking down all table bars. Cleans bar after service.
Job Duties:
- Performs job tasks such as:
- Pre-shift inspection; assigned bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available
- Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks. All garnishes must be fresh for each shift.
- Greets guests at bar rail within 30 seconds of arrival
- Mixes, prepares and serves drinks
- Requests additional supplies from bar porter as necessary
- Day bartender cut fresh fruit for table bars
- Day bartender to set up Tower Pub: coffee, ice, fruit, popcorn, identify stock needs for bar porter
- Polish glassware throughout shift to ensure every guest receives polished brass
- Maintain bar equipment to ensure maximum life
- Maintain security for storage areas: keep storage room doors closed and secure
- Receive beverage deliveries. Check the physical shipment to ensure same quantity and beverage type listed on invoice
- Maintain neat clean and orderly bar throughout shift
- Perform closing duties to include: clean/ polish all stainless steel, soak pop guns, ensure all possible insect breeding medium is removed or neutralized, clean bars. Cuvenee, espresso machines
- Any additional tasks as seen fit by supervisors or management
- Position Knowledge/Skills
- Beverages Knowledge: Must have extensive beverage knowledge: recognition of brand names as they relate to beverage type.
- Maintain and actively develop extensive bar recipe, house and feature wine, and spirits knowledge
- Acquire and maintain basic food service skills, i.e., food menu knowledge (including specials) and food service etiquette
- Professionalism
- Treats guests, peers, and supervisors with dignity and respect
- Ensures guests are treated with equal attention and consideration from guest arrival to guest departure
- Treats club physical property with care
