Department: Surgery/Oral and Maxillofacial division
A Life-Changing Career
Responsibilities: Primarily supports the surgeon in the clinic and clinic-based procedure settings. Has responsibility to efficiently provide quality radiographs, monitor patients under sedation in the outpatient procedure practice, and coordinate care under the surgeon's direction to accomplish optimal results for the patient. Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of equipment and stocking of supplies to provide a safe environment for patients. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize, and good follow-through on delegated responsibilities. Within 6 months of start date in the position, must complete training in the monitoring of sedation patients (at Division expense), and successfully complete Mayo's competency verification.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant or Dental Hygienist program.
Additional Qualifications: Experience and computer knowledge is preferred.
License or Certification: Must hold Minnesota registration/licensure as LDA or RDH. Must be current in Basic Life Support.
Benefit Eligible: Yes
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $21.23 per hour.
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: Day shift, Monday - Friday.
