Job Summary:

Performs a wide variety of mechanical, electromechanical or electronic technical duties in support of the fabrication, testing, debugging and documentation of assemblies, modules and systems. Works from written and verbal instructions, technical manuals, mechanical drawings, engineering specifications and computer generated schematics. Able to operate and maintain a variety of test and measurement equipment. Designs, executes and documents test procedures and test results. May interface with outside vendors and customers. Directs the work of lower-level technicians.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives:

* Assembles, debugs and qualifies custom built equipment;

* Contributes to the design/development/optimization of existing and new technologies & products;

* Must have working knowledge of electronic test & measurement equipment;

* Designs, prepares and troubleshoots test fixtures for system or subsystem testing;

* Participates in program efforts of key technology developments;

* Operates custom analysis and control equipment and software to test and validate new technologies;

Required Education and/or Experience:

* Associate degree in Engineering or equivalent;

* A minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Other Essential Skills and Abilities Required:

* Basic knowledge of pneumatics, thermal management and controls;

* Proficiency with Microsoft programs such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel;

* Ability to maintain meticulous records associated with product development & testing;

* Excellent written and oral communication skills;

* Excellent teamwork ethic;

* Strong problem solving and creative skills;

* Must be a team player with good people and leadership skills;

* Good organizational skills;

* Able to multitask development projects.
