Blue Star Cafe is currently looking for a full time line cook.
To be successful in this position you must have a good sense of humor, the ability to work in a fast paced environment, have a flexible schedule. 2 to 3 years experience working in the food service industry is a plus. Wage starts at $13.00 per hour with opportunities to earn more.
Major Functions:
Assists in the preparation and cooking of food for the cafe.
Manages portion size for appearance and cost.
Maintains safe food handling practices and adheres to other public health standards for temperature and food control.
Cleans all equipment and kitchen surfaces and keeps equipment in good working order
Assists in keeping the inventory organized.
Performs additional responsibilities as requested
Qualifications:
Graduation from High School or GED.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation and food handling practices.
Previous prep or line cook experience.
Reliable transportation to and from work and valid driver's license.
Must be flexible with schedule for weekend and evenings.
