Financial Business Manager - Full-time

The Financial Business Manager is responsible for the overall management of the library system's financial operations. This position reports directly to the Library Director.

Responsibilities include full financial accounting and reporting with knowledge of governmental

fund accounting. This position will also be responsible for the following: payroll, organize and prepare materials for board meetings, arrange meetings, attend board meetings and answer financial questions, work with the Director to prepare annual budget and any adjustments necessary, prepare request for support to funding agencies, prepare requested information for annual audit, maintain and file E-Rate paperwork, maintain fixed assets/inventory for the library system and all other duties required for financial operations for the library. This is a full time position with state benefits (State Health Benefit Plan insurance and Teacher's Retirement System)

Salary Range: $42,000 to $50,000/year, depending on experience and certifications.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or 4 years bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably in governmental fund accounting. Must have

computer skills, including high proficiency with Excel worksheets and other Microsoft Office

programs, strong oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to

maintain accounting records in compliance with state mandated rules and regulations and must

respect confidentiality of personnel and other office matters, experience with financial forecasting, experience reporting to Committees and/or Boards of Directors, knowledge of current state and financial laws, ability to recommend sound, financial advice to senior management, and ability to update management with changing financial conditions that could impact the institution.   Knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge accounting software a plus.  Applicant is subject to a criminal background check, drug testing, and credit check before hiring.
