About this job

Position Summary: Applicant must be able to work in a team oriented setting, working closely with coworkers to ensure that guests food is ready in the appropriate amount of time, platted correctly, and handed over to the server when order is complete. Applicant must also be able to carry food out to tables during busier times, interacting with customers is required. Food runners also bag to go orders and take them to the front counter when the order is complete.

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Ensure that food reaches the customer in a timely fashion
• Maintain a professional and cooperative approach with employees
• Ensuring orders are being prepared with the correct priority
• Assisting in the final preparation of the dishes
• Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
• Communicating with customers
• Taking orders to the appropriate table when needed
• Ability to carry a heavy tray through the restaurant
• Transfer important information between wait staff and the kitchen (e.g. customer requests)

Requirements

Job Requirements
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and carry through the restaurant. A food runner must also be able to stand their entire shift.

Typical Work Week: 15-30 hours (night/weekend availability is required)
