A rapidly growing durable medical leader in the provision of pain management and orthotic equipment and service to patients throughout the United States seeking Customer Service Representatives

 

Customer Service Representative/ Intake Coordinator (San Dimas)

Job Responsibilities:

 

Communicate with patients/clients and referral sources both verbally and in writing to ensure patient/client questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner.

 

Coordinates all patient information, processes paperwork, confirms tickets, inputs new patient set-ups, and assembles charts.

 

Creates new accounts; performs data entry, enters demographic and insurance information in home medical equipment database for all new patients. Updates home medical equipment in billing software and informs patients of order process. Performs a variety of routine office support tasks including copying, filing, scanning, printing, and word processing.

 

Obtaining all pertinent intake information to enter orders accurately and efficiently in computer system.

 

Assisting with ensuring that all orders, deliveries, service and pickups are handled accurately, timely and efficiently.

 

Verifies Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage information

 

Document all call information according to standard operating procedures

 

Provide patient education and troubleshoot patient questions or concerns regarding compliance and equipment use. Providing instructions on use of equipment, including safety issues, insurance coverage, delivery schedules and company billing practices.

 

Successful candidates have the following skills and qualifications:

Must have knowledge and understanding of insurance eligibility, benefits and authorization process. Healthcare, medical, pharmaceutical or DME experience required. High level of attention to detail.

 

Exceptional communication skills

 

Must maintain a high level of internal customer service.

 

Required experience:

 

 

Education and Work Experience Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent

 

Excellent customer service skills (thorough, positive and professional telephone demeanor). Proficient computer skills required - MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Previous customer service, call center or sales experience preferred, but not required.

 

Knowledge and experience of Medicare regulations in regards to coordinating and ordering DME or HME preferred, but not required

 

Bilingual skills a plus. Hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. We offer a casual, friendly work environment.
