Description: Under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for accepting referrals from various sources related to DME and home health industry. Responsible for processing physicians orders according to VNSES policy and procedure and to meet state licensure and Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) standards.
Qualificiations: Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association approved Respiratory Care degreed program. Currently licensed by the State of Ohio in compliance with the Ohio Revised Code. Must hold credentials as a Certified Respiratory Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist. One-year experience in an acute care setting as a Respiratory Therapist and in home healthcare experienced is preferred. Previous experience in the healthcare and DME field is preferred. Excellent verbal, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are required. Current CPR certification. Valid Ohio drivers license, dependable transportation and state minimum insurance coverage a must. Physical requirements must be met by employee to successfully perform the essential job functions.
