The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers in the U.S., announces a search for a Chair of the Department of Endocrinology at Cleveland Clinic Florida.

The Chair will be responsible for overall leadership of the program, including operational, fiscal, educational, and quality improvement issues as well as participate with the Endocrinology & Metabolism Institute Leadership team in Cleveland, Ohio, including care-pathway development and research.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate include:

* Embrace the clinical culture of Patients First and focus on Access, Quality, Safety and Patient Experience

* Strong Leadership skills and experience of successfully managing and mentoring physicians and non physicians

* Develop regional alliances/networks and actively participate in CC Florida strategic planning

* Build an academic endocrinology program that will be differentiating in the South Florida market

* Outstanding communication skills to foster alignment with the Endocrinology & Metabolism Institute and CC Florida, with emphasis on the development of Integrated Practice Units and multi-disciplinary care

* Grow and develop the Endocrinology education program

* Grow the Endocrine Surgery program

The Endocrinology department consists of six established physicians and is an ADA Certified Diabetes Center. Established programs for Insulin Pump Therapy and Thyroid US are also present. Cleveland Clinic Florida is a state-of-the-art Medical Center and Hospital in a rapidly growing community with high patient demand located in South Florida. We are a multispecialty academic group practice closely affiliated with Cleveland Clinic in Ohio; physicians in Cleveland Clinic Florida's Endocrinology Department are members of Cleveland Clinic's Endocrinology & Metabolism Institute.

A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Florida Atlantic University and the Florida International University Medical Schools.
