Food Truck Member - Full-time

We're looking to add a crew member to join a fun & energetic Food Truck team!

The day begins and ends at our commercial kitchen in Annandale, VA (on border with Springfield). Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm with occasional night and weekend events. In this position you will spend most of your time on the truck, but you will also be prepping in the kitchen, loading the truck before service, unloading the truck after service, doing dishes and cleaning the truck after a service. All staff will be trained to perform all three positions on the truck - Cashier, Fry Cook & Sandwich Station.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Meeting at the kitchen to load truck, participate in lunch service, then return to kitchen to unload truck & clean up from lunch service
• Prep of food items for food service prior to loading the truck
• Cooking and preparing our menu to order on the truck
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Greeting customers & taking orders
• Educating customers about the menu items
• Cleaning & Organizing the inside & outside of the truck at the end of shift
• Working occasional dinner or weekend services

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have 1-3 food service experience. Customer service experience is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work (kitchen is not metro-accessible).
• Must be punctual and reliable. Tardiness or unexcused absences from work will not be accepted.
• Must speak, read and write English well.
• Must be able to commit to 7:30am - 3:30pm schedule and have flexibility on weekends.
• Must be able to pass Food Handler/Manager Exam (cost of exam will be reimbursed to hired employees who successfully pass exam while employed).
• Must be able to follow instructions well and work independently.
• Ability to stay on feet for extended periods.
• Should have strong attention to detail and can succeed in a fast paced environment.
• Should demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Must want to have fun at work!

HOURS

• Required hours are 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday
• Additional hours will vary, but can include the following:
  • Earlier starts possible for special jobs, as early as 6:30 or 7am
  • Dinner service hours also available on occasion and can go as late as 11pm
  • Additional hours may also be available for Weekend and/or Private events
