GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support. **Job Summary** **This position is contingent upon contract award.** **This work will be performed in various locations: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Guam.** Plans itinerary and schedules travel accommodations for military and civilian personnel with dependents according to travel orders using knowledge of routes, types of carriers, and travel regulations. **Essential Responsibilities:** 1. Verifies travel orders to insure costs, availability, and convenience of different types of carriers to select most advantageous route and carrier. 2. Notifies personnel of travel dates, baggage, limits and medical and visa 14 requirements, and determines that all clearances have been obtained. 3. Assists personnel in completing travel forms and other business transactions pertaining to travel. 4. May deliver personnel files and travel orders to persons prior to departure. 5. Meet and inform arriving personnel of available facilities and housing and furnish other information. 6. Arrange for motor transportation for arriving or departing personnel involving the use of two or more modes of transportation 7. Schedules frequently recurring travel and assists during potential problems due to rerouting, and changes of transportation. Assists with unplanned travel where there may be major problems of scheduling or accommodations. 8. Within general guidelines, select and apply appropriate travel guides, methods, techniques, and work sequences to effectively accomplish the work. 9. Reviews work for compliance with regulatory guides and program policies and for soundness of decisions and conclusions. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
