Platform Solution Engineer, Healthcare and Life Sciences

Description:

As a Platform Solution Engineer in our healthcare and life sciences vertical you'll employ your deep industry knowledge to discover business needs then design, architect, and present solutions that help our customers meet regulatory requirements, engage with their patients, members, and brokers, develop and collaborate on new product offerings, and increase operational efficiency throughout their organizations.

As an integral part of the sales team, you'll leverage your deep product and process knowledge to address customer concerns and constraints, remove technical inhibitors from the sale, position an appropriate benefits justification and provide the most complete solution to meet the customer's need.

Your Impact:

* Understand the customer need within a Healthcare industry context and establish a Salesforce solution as the best option to address the need.

* Design, build and present customized demos, both individually and on a team, and publish them as reusable presales assets when applicable

* Credibly present Salesforce technology infrastructure, demonstrating deep familiarity with our hardware, software, networking and security stack and the value delivered by each

* Participate in all appropriate product, sales, procedural, and certification training to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position

* Attain quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives assigned by management

* Respond effectively to customer requests for information, demonstrations, workshops, and RFPs.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Healthcare industry experience in a payer, provider, medical device or life sciences organization

* B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience

* Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer selling software into the Healthcare industry

* Knowledge of related applications, relational database and web technology

* Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies

* Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

* Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in varied political environments

* Experience with Big Data, IoT and other emerging technologies a plus

* Ability to travel domestically
