JOB SUMMARY:

Provide corrective and preventative maintenance service for Specialty Gas facility and processing equipment to insure the highest quality and productivity. The Maintenance Technician will also work with production to fill high-pressure mix and/or pure gas products utilizing gravimetric, pressure/ temperature and dynamic blending techniques. The role responsibilities include the production of gas mixtures and pure gases while working safely, and producing quality product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Manage maintenance program using Intelex software.

* Maintenance of building equipment including lighting, water, HVAC and drain systems.

* Preventative maintenance and repair of plant production equipment including manifolds, high pressure piping, diaphragm and reciprocating compressors, vacuum and cryogenic pumps, valves and other specialized equipment.

* Follow facility safety, health, environmental and quality programs.

* Experienced in hazardous work permits, perform Lock Out/ Tag Out duties.

* Coordination and direction of contractors when required.

* Responsible for installation and layout of new equipment including high pressure pipefitting and fabrication.

* Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repacking gases into cylinders

* Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections.

* Regularly inspect and maintain pumping equipment and associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices.

* Fill cylinders using various and appropriate production equipment.

* Ensure cylinder-filling records are accurately maintained and that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulations.

* Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and any accident or injury is promptly reported to management.

* Conduct periodic checks of plant for safe and efficient operation

* Maintain neat, clean and orderly plant appearance.

* Perform mathematical calculations.

* Perform routine calibration on process analytical equipment.

* Basic knowledge of equipment troubleshooting

* Able to perform Non Conformance product problem solving

* Able to provide training to other or new operators within the department.

* Work in a team environment.

* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 to 5 years related experience and/or vocational training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

* Occasionally (1-33% of work time)

COMPUTER SKILLS:

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

COMMUNICATION and/or CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS:

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

* Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

* Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
