Employees in our Maintenance and Electronics departments are an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. There are a variety of roles within this title such as Mechanics of different skill levels, Mechanic apprentices/assistants, and Electricians. Maintenance and Electronic workers responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining all the accepts of the facility and it's equipment as well was constructing, developing, and designing areas of the plant, perform preventative maintenance work; conduct daily set-up of area; troubleshoot power transmission, pneumatics, & hydraulics; and limited welding, all while making safety and food safety the number one priorities.

While performing the duties of a Maintenance or Electronics worker, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. The employee must work with chemicals and solvents and have the ability to operate moving vehicles. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility. (Not an all-inclusive list).

Perform repetitive or non-routine tasks. Examples include:

* May operate heavy machinery (including forklift) or computer programs

* Use a variety of tools and retrieve parts

* Conduct daily set-up of area

* Troubleshooting

* Working around or with machinery and power sources such as electricity

* Ensuring safety, food safety and quality

* Cleanliness and housekeeping

* Maintaining a safe working environment

Required:

* Legal to work in the US without the need of a Visa sponsorship

* Over 18 Yrs old

* Ability to read, write, and speak English

* Basic Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

* Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects

* Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT

Preferred:

* Computer skills

* Previous Cargill experience

* Meat processing experience

* Production experience

* Maintenance experience

* Work history in the past 12 months
