About this job

Do you have a passion for development and testing? Are you always learning new tools and frameworks? Are you interested in developing test automation frameworks? As a Content Engineering Intern, you'll be a part of a small team who share development and testing roles equally. You'll work closely with developers to understand our architecture, gather requirements from management and product owners, and develop new features, tests and tools. You will develop new features for our content delivery system and write bullet-proof code that tests and builds thousands of XML files into our world-class content. Your direct efforts will help us build, test and deploy our content while improving engineer and writer productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop tools, automation frameworks, and deployment platforms that will enable the successful automated validation and deployment of our content

* Work closely with management, product owners, and other developers to understand product requirements and design appropriate test plans to verify features and functional specifications

* Have an agile, iterative approach to software development, rapidly showing progress and being able to adapt to continual feedback and refinement of requirements

Required Skills:

* Working towards BS or MS in Computer Science

* Be fanatical about development and testing.

* Hands on exposure via academic, professional, or internship experience with Java

* Object-oriented programming experience

* Working knowledge of web-development frameworks including HTML, XML, javascript, and CSS

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* A self starter with a strong sense of self motivation

Desired Skills:

* Familiar with Groovy, Ruby, noSQL, and test-driven development
