TRUCK DRIVER/WAREHOUSE POSITION

We are looking to fill a full-time truck driver/warehouse position in Alexandria, La.

 A CDL class B license and driving experience is required and an attitude of being a team player.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Meet delivery schedules on time
• Unload your deliveries and treat all customers with respect and politeness
• Be able to resolve any customer's questions 
• Plan and learn routes
• Learn products over time
• Transport product to local and expanding areas within Louisiana. (This will include making transfers to and from the main warehouse based out of Harahan, La)
• Sweep out the trucks box of any debris and remove leftover pallets at the end of the day
• When needed, work shipping and receiving inside the warehouse 

Requirements 

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, Computer)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment history
• Valid CDL Class B truck driving license
