Education High School Diploma /GED Preferred Work Experience 1-3 years of experience in/with Surgery Services or related field. Prior experience in Critical Care, EMT, sterilization, anesthesia, electronics Preferred. License and Certification CPR Valid CPR required within 60 days of start date as PNA Required English Skills Basic reading skills Basic writing skills Basic oral skills Communication Skills Ability to respond appropriately to customer/co-worker Interaction with a wide variety of people Maintain confidential information Ability to communicate only the facts to recipients or to decline to reveal information Ability to project a professional, friendly, helpful demeanor Computer Skills Minimal computer knowledge: Can perform very basic functions within a Windows environment. FACILITATES SURGICAL SERVICES OPERATIONS BY SUPPORTING MULTIPLE AREAS. score: N/A

Knowledgeable and skilled in the application of aseptic technique in multiple areas. Moves within and around the sterile field. Assist surgeon, anesthesia provider, surgical technologist and registered nurses. Performs a variety of perioperative support functions for pre-op intra-op, and post-op. (Specific activities vary with each area and sub specialty.) Versatile and knowledgeable in multiple surgical specialties and phases of surgery (pre-op, intra-op, post-op.) Knowledgeable and skilled in multiple sterilization/disinfection techniques. Knowledgeable in multiple support areas such as; instruments, equipment, suture, preparation area, Able to function independently in a variety of areas. Documentation is timely and accurate. Be available to be assigned on-call hours outside of scheduled work-hours, which include after-hours, weekends and holidays. Reviews daily surgery schedule, collaborates with leadership plans support functions. Implements plan so multiple needs are met simultaneously. Actions leverage preparation time for surgical technologist, registered nurses, surgeons and anesthesia providers. Prepares for age specific case requirements.
