Emergency Room Technician Part-time Nightshift (7pm - 5:30am)

Job Summary:

As an Emergency Room Technician, you will delivery patient care and perform clinical procedures within the scope of your licensure under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Provider. Your day-to-day job functions will include:

Assisting in implementing each patient's plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and other tasks within your scope of practice

Assisting with observation of patients, gathering data and identifying patient care needs

Responding to emergency situations

Assisting with patient transport and transfer

Assisting with cleaning, stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies

Adhering to safety and risk management standards

Assisting with clerical and communication tasks to support patient care

* Approximately 180 patients per day

* Supported by ED Techs approx. 10:1

* Stroke-certified

* Cardiac Cath Lab

* Trauma Level IV

Education/Experience:

High school diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of one of the following:

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program OR

Medical Assistant program OR

Certified Nursing Assistant program OR

Licensed Practical Nurse program OR

Completion of one year of nursing school.

License/Certification:

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) OR

Current Registered Nursing Assistant (R.N.A.) either recorded by the state as received and in processing or completed, OR

Medical Assistant-Cert OR

Current Washington State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

The forms required to initiate the Washington State Medical Assistant-P application process must be submitted to the Department of Health within 90 days of employment in the position, as evidenced by a proof of payment receipt. Certification must be received with 150 days of date of hire in the position.

Current healthcare provider Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required.
