About this job

The WOCN is responsible for development, coordination, and monitoring of the hospital's Wound Care Program. The WOCN establishes standards of care and clinical competencies to meet patient needs, and training to ensure clinical expertise. The WOCN works collaboratively with the medical staff, and provides education to patients, caregivers, and staff on wound, ostomy and continence care. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of St. Bernardine Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support St. Bernardine Medical Center's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

Requirements: Minimum three years Registered Nurse experience in critical care or medical/surgical care in an acute setting. Bachelor's degree in nursing Master's Degree in nursing preferred Current California Nursing License Current Basic Life Support Current Certification in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing (CWOCN)
