Providence is calling a Line Cook - Cook's Helper (0.625 FTE, Evening Shifts) to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.

We're seeking a detail-oriented individual to be responsible for processing food items and ensuring proper utilization, and storage, of food and supplies within the kitchen. This is an Evening Shift position, we are seeking qualified applicants who will be able to provide services to our facility during weekday evenings and every other weekend from 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm on a consistent basis.

In this position you will:

Procure foods from assigned work areas to help stock and supply hot and cold stations for patient food production

Need to be able to understand and follow recipes and instructions on quantity, portion control and quality of food products. Will provide support to patient food service, cafeteria and catering services

Prepare salads, sandwiches, sandwich spreads, desserts, and all other related items for cafeteria, catering events and patients food service

Accurately measure foods and adjust recipes for food preparation process

Required qualifications for this position include:

High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Current Washington Food Handlers Permit

Minimum of two (2) years of experience related to food preparation
