Oyster Shucker - Full-time / Part-time

$100 BONUS TO ANY COOK, SHUCKER, OR DISHWASHER THAT COMPLETES TWO WEEKS OF EMPLOYMENT.

Possition Summary:Accurately & efficiently prepare oysters for raw consumption. Perform other duties in the areaswhile maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary work area.

Work Environment:Job operates in a kitchen and routinely uses sinks, shuck knives, chain-mesh gloves, and oyster cleaning stations. Works in both "Back & Front of the House" kitchen and directly in front of customers.

Compliance duties:Follow all relevant health department rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:Reports to kitchen supervisors and kitchen manager. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. Knows & complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies and procedures. Handles, stores and rotates all products properly. Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area, including tables, shelves, knives, gloves, shuck pits, and refrigeration equipment. Opens & closes shuck pit properly and follows checklist for shuck pit, and assists others in closing duties. Performs other duties as assigned by kitchen supervisors, and managers.

Physical Requiremets:This position is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop and kneel, The employee must frequently lift objects ranging from 5 lbs to 50 lbs. Must vision ability, hearing ability with eye and hand coordination. Must have professional communication skills. Be able to work in a standing positionfor long periods of time and maintain exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
