Assistant General Manager Responsibilities (AGM)
-Oversee all restaurant operations when GM is absent
-Assist GM with hiring and management of staff
-Assist GM with monitoring store level financials
-Assist GM with ordering and reporting inventory
-Oversee store cleanliness and organization
-Assist GM with marketing and promotions
-Assist GM with equipment maintenance schedule (cars, ovens, machinery…etc)
(Other requirements may include but are not limited to; relevant work experience, customer service experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, POS system fluency, clean background check, understanding of food safety, equipment safety, and sanitation regulations, able to stand for extended periods, able to lift and place up to 75 pounds regularly, able to reach above or below with frequent repetition, able to perform repetitious tasks without issue)
Daily tasks of the AGM would include but not be limited to the following list:
- Monitor FOH/BOH operations for safety and rule compliance
- Facilitate communication between lower management and GM
- Report to GM with observations of emerging issues or situations regarding operations
- Review dining reservations weekly to avoid conflicts and/or present opportunities
- Inspect produce preparations daily to insure premium freshness and quality
- Direct and inspect the daily FOH/BOH cleaning and organizing procedures
- Work stations with associates to facilitate fine tuning to meet product specifications
- Give direction to staff and follow up upon task completion
- Utilize “live” opportunities to complement and/or critique associate performance(s)
- Be aware of all building and equipment conditions and report to GM with concerns
- Maintain accurate cash receipts and oversee the security there of
- Oversee the proper rotation of all food inventory
